I'm linking up with Janis over at Grade Three is the Place for Me for her Newbie Blog Hop!! What a great idea!!! This is already flooded with some great new blogs that are all in one place:) I'm a newbie at blogging....I started my blog at the very end of January so I'm going to say...yes I'm new at this. I don't know everything and I'm still learning new things every day.
So on to answering the questions:
What state do I live in?Ohio
What is my current teaching position? I teach first grade
What is my teaching experience? I have taught for 3 years, 2 years in first grade and one year as an intervention specialist
When did I start my blog? I astarted in July 2012.
What would my blogging tip be? I agree with a lot of you who say that you share your ideas.  It is nice to see what other teachers have done and overcome to get their blogs up and running.  I am enjoying it, but have a lot to learn.

In other news, we are getting a new reading series from Treasures.  Our grade level will be meeting tomorrow to make sure everything is ready for the kiddos in August.  Who says that teachers don't work in the summer is crazy. I just love to learn new things!

New Classroom Website

I have a new classroom website dedicated to helping my parents understand all the in's and out's of how my classroom is being run.  I will be updating it throughout the summer and hopefully have it ready for the first day of school on August 15, 2012.

Getting Ready for School

Today, I find myself starring at 15 crates of files that I brought home over the summer.  Since our academic content standards have changed, I have decided to update my academic filing system.  In the next couple of days, I have decided to go through these files to make sure that what I am teaching is in line with the new Common Core Standards.

New to Blogging

I am trying to get with the "i" generation and am trying my hand at blogging.  Since it is in the middle of July, I am busy trying to get my classroom ready.  I have been online looking at different teachers web sites and getting different ideas.  Wish me luck!!
